PhenoImager HT
PhenoImager HT is an imaging-based multiplex immunofluorescence platform from Quanterix (formerly Akoya Biosciences). Using Opal tyramide chemistry with multispectral imaging and spectral unmixing, it resolves 6 targets plus DAPI across a whole slide and up to 9 plus DAPI within selected regions of interest. The readout is optical intensity per channel, with no nucleic-acid step, so sequencing does not apply.

Panels
Opal panels combine fluorophore-conjugated antibodies; because the antibody is directly labelled with an Opal dye, there is no barcode-conjugation step.
- Custom panels: any antibody combination can be assembled into a panel.
- Pre-made PhenoCode Signature panels (PhenoImager HT 2.0 workflow): five-plex base panels designed to accept one additional biomarker of choice (5-plex + 1) - Human Immuno-Contexture, Human Immune Profile, Human Activated TIL Status and Human T Cell Status.
- Opal Multiplex Detection kits: available as 3-plex or 6-plex, with individual Opal fluorophores also available a la carte.
Additional capabilities
Same-sample H&E can be performed after an Opal run. Opal staining can be carried out manually through standard IHC workflows or automated on the Leica Biosystems BOND RX. Opal fluorophores are photostable, which allows archived stained slides to be re-imaged.

Access and priority
Internal clients (BIDMC, DF/HCC), external academic and non-profit clients, and industry clients all have equal priority. Projects begin upon sample receipt.
