Training & education
The Spatial Technologies Unit was established with a mandate to provide education and training on single-cell and spatial technologies, alongside its service work. Training is available to individual researchers and to groups, and can be delivered in the unit's facilities, at the client's site, or remotely.
What we offer
- Seminars, lectures, and talks on single-cell and spatial technologies, and on their application to specific research domains.
- Hands-on instrument training for researchers and small groups on a given platform.
- Technology and data-analysis workshops focused on a specific assay or on the analysis of the data it produces.
- Seminar series, hosted in the unit's facilities, at the client's site, or remotely.
Data-analysis training
The unit runs the full computational pipeline in-house - from primary processing (Cell Ranger, Space Ranger) through quality control, cell- and spatial-domain annotation, differential and spatial analysis, multi-omic integration, and downstream bioinformatics - and can train a client's team in these steps.
Training can also cover the unit's SViewer, a high-performance web viewer for spatial transcriptomic and proteomic data that lets users explore, share, and discuss large datasets directly in a browser, without dedicated computational resources or prior bioinformatics expertise. Where relevant, sessions can extend to the AI/ML methods the unit develops for data integration and biomarker prioritization.
Certification
The unit is an accredited service provider and is certified through the 10x Genomics Core Lab Training program.
